Story’s Public Mainnet is Live!

Today’s public mainnet launch marks a major step forward in Story’s mission to create a programmable market for intellectual property (IP) in the age of artificial intelligence (AI). Starting today, users can begin interacting with Story’s L1 blockchain, and the first wave of rewards are being distributed.

The Age of AI Demands a New Asset Class

IP is the bedrock of AI. As AI transforms industries at an unprecedented pace, IP is emerging as the most critical asset class of the 21st century.

IP is a $61 trillion asset class that includes training data, scientific discoveries, code, brands, entertainment, creative works, and more.

Story’s blockchain allows you to upload your IP, set the terms of use, and monetize throughout our application ecosystem. Royalties and attribution automatically flow back to IP owners wherever the IP is used – a step towards a better internet.

These features unlock new opportunities for IP holders. By tokenizing IP, Story ensures any IP asset can be open for anyone to use, trade, and monetize. This creates an open market for the exchange of IP and associated rights, unlocking new opportunities for IP holders, application developers, and consumers.

IP holders can register and tokenize their IP, securing their work onchain and defining how it can be used, remixed, or monetized via embedded parameters. Developers can build applications on top of Story’s programmable IP infrastructure, creating next-generation AI tools, licensing platforms, and IP marketplaces.

The Story ecosystem is launching with a diverse range of applications already live, spanning IPFi, RWAs, consumer, and AI. This is just the beginning—many more projects are set to launch in the coming weeks.
