Introducing New IP Portal Features to Streamline IP Monetization

Story’s IP Portal is the simplest way to register, license, and monetize intellectual property (IP). Built to reduce the complexity, cost, and time associated with traditional IP licensing, the IP Portal enables individual and institutional IP holders to register their work, equip it with an industry-grade licensing agreement and start capitalizing on their IP within minutes.
The IP Portal has already helped thousands of users on the journey to monetizing their intellectual works. Less than two months after launching on Product Hunt, we're releasing a new batch of features to further streamline the IP Portal experience: simplified onboarding, improved search, and bulk registration.
Easy Onboarding: Sign Up With Email
Based on early feedback from users, we've introduced the ability to sign up for the IP Portal via email. New users can now onboard with just an email address, eliminating the need to set up a wallet or acquire tokens. Behind the scenes, Story manages all onchain processes, ensuring that assets are securely minted and associated with user wallets.
Abstracting these interactions away from the user lowers the entry barrier to IP management while still providing the benefits of the Story blockchain: transparency, enforceability, and security.
Improved Search: Find IP Faster, License More Easily
Licensing, remixing, and attribution all depend on discoverability. We've upgraded the IP Portal’s search capabilities to include structured queries across titles, descriptions, and asset IDs. This enhancement makes it easier for users to locate relevant IP, unlike the opaque pen and paper legal system.
Improved search supports creators by increasing the visibility of their assets, opening the door to collaborations, downstream use, and ultimately, greater monetization of their IP. With a better browsing experience, the IP Portal becomes more than just a registration tool—it becomes a working index of IP available for use under clear and enforceable terms.
Bulk Registration: License Multiple Assets at Once
For institutional IP holders and users with extensive content libraries, manual registration is a time-consuming bottleneck. The IP Portal’s new bulk registration feature allows multiple assets to be uploaded, licensed, and organized into catalogs in a single workflow. This streamlines the process, enabling users to scale their IP management and monetization efforts effectively.
At launch, streamlined registration supports unified licensing and AI training terms across all assets in a batch. Assets can be grouped under the same catalog, simplifying asset management and organization.
